I have stayed in this Hotel 3-4 times in the past 1,5 years. So my review is based on the experience of all stays – pictures are from today.
The Hotel is adjacent to the Cairo International Airport and within a somewhat secure area surrounding the Airport. There’s supposed to be a shuttle bus to collect guests from the terminals. Honestly, that’s the only really bad thing about this hotel :-( Shuttle _from_ the Airport to the hotel never worked even after a specific appointment. I gave up this time after waiting for 60 Minutes and took a taxi for 30 EGP (~3,80€) for the 4 minutes ride. Yes, I schould’ve known better…
Hotel entrance is secured, similar to the airports. The Hotel staff treated me always friendly, especially in the restaurants.
Hotel is cheap, nothing really to write home about. Old and worn. But it’s proximity to the airport can be a big benefit. And of course it’s ok depending/considering in the rate ;-)
Entrance and main room. Bathroom is to the left from where I’m standing.
At least a free bottle of water!
And this time I even got a plate of fresh fruits….probably due to my high status with Accor.
I had dinner at the “La Primavera”, Tomato Soup and Pizza Hawaiiana and some drinks for approx 170EGP.
Shuttle Bus to the airport runs every 30 minutes during the day. This direction is reliable and I always had the same friendly driver. He’s a funny guy and loves to tell stories. Yes, he always get’s a decent tip.
There are other Hotels in the airport area, too.
Haven’t been to one of the other hotels yet.
